Welcome to A Few of My Favorite Things, a new monthly series where I’ll be sharing the books, articles, home goods and girly items I’m currently digging.
1. First off, I’m so excited about the release of Naturally, Delicious, the first cookbook from lifestyle guru Danny Seo. Last year, Danny approached Natural Gourmet Institute (my day job, as most of you know) about collaborating on this exciting project, which I was honored to manage. Working with two rockstar recipe developers, we created 100 unique, health-forward recipes for the book. It was the first cookbook I ever worked on and it was an absolute thrill, so I can’t wait to work on more in the future!
2. I sort of have a major weak spot for nail polish and Emily Shuman’s collection with Formula X is perfection. ‘Latte Run’, a neutral pinkish beige, is my fave.
3. If you’re searching for a new podcast to obsess over, look no further than My Dad Wrote a Porno (yes, you read that correctly). A British dude’s (Jamie Morton) retired dad wrote an erotic novel called Belinda Blinked about a naughty saleswoman in the “pots and pans industry” who gets ahead in business by sleeping around with international clientele. Instead of dying from embarrassment, Jamie and two friends decided to start a podcast where they read the novel aloud while sharing hilarious commentary. It’s not easy to explain the appeal of such an odd podcast, but just trust me when I say you’ll be brought to tears by laughter
4. Having never been a fan of the super-padded space material-esque Wonderbras of what seem’s to be America’s only lingerie brand (oh, you know the one), I’m thrilled about the launch of Lively, a company that seeks to simplify undergarments and provide pretty, comfortable and wearable “leisurée”.
