Yesterday evening I returned from one of the most awesome weekends of my life. After several months of planning, our first event as Salt + Sage Collective – a weekend retreat in the Catskills – finally happened! We’re so thankful to have gathered an awesome group of women to join us at Foxfire. Among them were fellow bloggers, aspiring cookbook authors, recipe developers, a pastry chef, a food stylist, and a even naturopathic doctor. We were also so excited to host two guest speakers, cookbook authors Leah Vanderveldt and Sarah Copeland.
We spent the weekend enjoying communal meals in the gorgeous dining room, sharing knowledge during workshops, doing pre-sunrise yoga and meditation (a totally new experience for me), and drinking wine by the crackly fireplace. It was nothing short of awesome to spend three whole days with people who are just as passionate about food as I am – it was like adult summer camp! And we couldn’t have dreamed of a better location. With its cool antique decorations, beautiful bedrooms, and Catskill Mountains backdrop, Foxfire could not have been any more perfect. But more than anything, I feel so lucky to be a part of Salt + Sage Collective with my kick-ass lady partners. Below are some photos from the retreat. I hope you can join us for our next event!

A giant thank you to FEED Projects for providing us with these awesome totes.
Did you know that each purchase of a FEED BioJute bag provides 25 school meals for malnourished children around the world?
Can’t wait to plan our next event together! <3
