The easiest route to a healthy, satisfying meal. Scroll on for 9 of my favorite vegan grain bowls.
The grain bowl is one of my all-time favorite meal formats for any time of day. First off, it’s practical – you get your complex carbs, protein, fat, and veggies, all in one easy meal. Secondly, the variety of textures and colors makes grain bowls satisfying and rarely boring. In fact, I could eat one (or three!) every day and be very happy.
Whatever ingredients you choose for your bowl, contrast is key. Aim for a mix of hot and cold ingredients, and of chewy, crunchy, and creamy textures. A delicious sauce to bring it all together is a must, too.
Below, I’ve rounded up 9 of my go-to vegan grain bowls. Most of these work for lunch and dinner, travel well (if you wanna bring them on a trip or simply to the office), and are meal prep-able, too.
Tofu Rice Bowl with Peanut Sauce
Inspired by Sweetgreen (a fancy salad chain), this tastes just as impressive but doesn’t cost $17.

An easy way to enjoy all your favorite sushi components (rice, veg, nori, spicy mayo) – without the fuss of rolling.
