Description

This cilantro cucumber gin and tonic is a sophisticated take on the classic cocktail. If you’re in the cilantro-tastes-like-soap camp, feel free to use basil or dill instead.

Ingredients

Scale
  • A few fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 small Persian or Kirby cucumber, partially peeled and sliced into thin rounds
  • Ice
  • 2 ounces gin
  • 4 ounces tonic water

Instructions

Place the cilantro and lime juice in a glass. Using a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon, muddle the cilantro until it is slightly bruised and broken down. Add a few of the cucumber slices, ice, gin, and tonic. Gently stir and enjoy.
