Description
Air fryer sweet potato wedges are a delicious side dish for almost anything. Swap out the spices to make them your own.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound sweet potatoes (about 2 medium potatoes)
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil or another neutral oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder* (see note below)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Scrub the potatoes under running water and pat dry. Trim the ends. Halve lengthwise, then cut into thin wedges.
- Place the potatoes in a large bowl and add all the remaining ingredients. Toss with your hands to coat evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400ºF.
- Arrange half of the potatoes in the basket in an even layer (you’ll have to cook these in 2 batches). Cook for about 15 minutes, until the potatoes are golden brown and can be pierced easily with a knife, flipping once halfway through. Transfer to a serving platter; cook the remaining potatoes the same way.
- Serve the potatoes hot, with your favorite sauce.
Notes
This combo of spices has a smoky Tex-Mex vibe. Feel free to swap in whatever you like though – be it Old Bay seasoning, Cajun seasoning, or even yellow curry powder.
