Description

Air fryer sweet potato wedges are a delicious side dish for almost anything. Swap out the spices to make them your own.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sweet potatoes (about 2 medium potatoes)
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil or another neutral oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder* (see note below)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Scrub the potatoes under running water and pat dry. Trim the ends. Halve lengthwise, then cut into thin wedges.
  2. Place the potatoes in a large bowl and add all the remaining ingredients. Toss with your hands to coat evenly.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400ºF.
  4. Arrange half of the potatoes in the basket in an even layer (you’ll have to cook these in 2 batches). Cook for about 15 minutes, until the potatoes are golden brown and can be pierced easily with a knife, flipping once halfway through. Transfer to a serving platter; cook the remaining potatoes the same way.
  5. Serve the potatoes hot, with your favorite sauce.

Notes

This combo of spices has a smoky Tex-Mex vibe. Feel free to swap in whatever you like though – be it Old Bay seasoning, Cajun seasoning, or even yellow curry powder.
